Bitrex® is a trading name of Macfarlan Smith Limited, a Veranova company. Veranova recognises that we are responsible for the effect of our business activities on the people who work for or with us and the people within the communities where we operate. We act on this responsibility by using our influence to promote and protect the human rights of all those we work with and alongside.
Veranova supports, and expects all our suppliers to support, the principles defined within the International Labour Organization Core Conventions, the United Nations (‘UN’) Global Compact and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
It is a priority for Veranova to ensure that we trade ethically, source responsibly and work to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking throughout our organisation and in our supply chain.
We have appropriate policies in place that underpin our commitment to ensure that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. We will continuously review and update all our policies.
We have in place systems to:
- Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains.
- Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains.
- Monitor potential risk areas in our supply chains.
- Protect whistle blowers.
To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide regular training to our staff.
